Knights of Columbus- Homestead, FLWe are Bishop Gilberto Fernandez Knights of Columbus Council #4998. Our council serves the Homestead, Florida area. Our business meetings are every 2nd Monday of the month and our socials are every 4th of the month at 6:30pm in the parish hall. Some of the activities our council participate in/organize are: pro-life marches, Habitat for Humanity building, monthly speaker at our social meetings, Ordination receptions, adopt a seminarian, and monthly breakfast for our parishioners. One of the virtues of being a Knight is charity, and yearly we have a St. Patty’s Day Dinner which helps us raise funds to help those who are least among our brothers. Bishop Fernandez was once pastor at Sacred Heart Church. In 2012, our council was renamed in honor of him. Bishop Fernandez represented all the virtues the Knights strive for.

Brothers join Father Joseph for Trinity SundayOn the weekend of June 12, 2022, several of your fellow brothers made the short trip down to Christ the King in Perrine to celebrate Blessed Trinity Sunday. It was also a celebration for Father Joseph who left Sacred Heart Homestead at the start of June to become the lead pastor of Christ the King.
Brothers Emilio Morales, Damian Teixeira, Grand Knight Randolph Browne, and past Grand Knight Chuck Roessner led the procession into and out of the church. It was great to see Father Joseph and take part in this special Mass. With God's grace, we hope a vibrant council will form at Christ the King in the years to come.
